MGMT 610 - Strategic Human Resources Management Units: 3 Application of theories from multiple disciplines to analyze core topics in strategic human resources management, including recruitment and screening, training, performance evaluation, compensation and benefits, job design, promotions, downsizing, outsourcing, unions, labor law, internal labor markets, and high-commitment HRM.
Prerequisites: Completion of University Writing Skills Requirement (UWSR) and post-baccalaureate standing. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Apply key course concepts to solve actual HRM problems in firms.
- Conduct basic statistical analysis on HRM data.
- Interpret basic statistical analysis of HRM data.
- Design strategic HRM systems to attract and retain top talent.
- Choose HRM policies that are mutually reinforcing as part of a high-performance system.
