BAN 612 - Data Analytics Units: 3 Data collection, preparation, visualization, and analysis with software applications. Topics include: web scraping, Application Program Interface (API) data collection, data wrangling, visualization, data type and structure, and computational and quantitative methods.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: College Algebra, Statistics and Object-Oriented Programming. Prerequisites: BAN 601 and BAN 602. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Hybrid. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Utilize software and write computer scripts to scrape, parse, and read web data as well as access data using web Application Program Interfaces (APIs).
- Construct computer programs to clean, prepare, and visualize data.
- Apply computational and quantitative methods to analyze data.
