TED 513 - Curriculum & Instruction: Health and Physical Education Units: 2 Theory, content, and methods of teaching health and PE in the elementary classroom. Emphasis on integration of health and PE, current and inclusive pedagogy and teaching English Learners/Emergent Bilinguals.
Prerequisites: Admission to Multiple Subject Credential Program. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Explore and practice inquiry-based and hands-on teaching techniques for California State Health Content standards and PE standards for the K-5 classroom
- Apply techniques for improving accessibility of healthy living and skills for all students, including those who are linguistically diverse
