OTL 672 - Content Development for Online Learning


Units: 3
 

Utilize various content authoring tools and relevant teaching and learning strategies as well as design principles learned from previous courses to create learning objects that contain instructional materials, activities, and/or assessments for online course module(s).

Prerequisites: All of: OTL 601, OTL 602, OTL 604.
Possible Instructional Methods: Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Analyze and evaluate constraints that impact design decisions in multiple environments.
  2. Analyze and evaluate learner characteristics that impact design decisions in multiple environments.
  3. Analyze the different pedagogical approaches required in different learning environments.
  4. Develop lesson plan(s) that include learning objectives, instructional materials, learning activities, assessment.
  5. Create learning objects using content authoring tools based on developed lesson plan(s).
