NURS 453 - Preceptorship Practicum Units: 4 This capstone practicum is a precepted experience in a clinical setting. Emphasis is placed on guided independence in professional nursing practice with integration, synthesis and application of research and leadership.
Prerequisites: B.S. Nursing major and all of: NURS 420, NURS 421, NURS 422, NURS 423, NURS 427. Co-requisites: NURS 452. Credit Restrictions: Repeated course may not count toward Major requirements.
Repeatability: May be repeated once for credit for a maximum of 8 units. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: CR/NC grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Demonstrate accountability in practice.
- Demonstrate safe clinical practice consistent with agency guidelines and professional standards of care.
