ENGL 109 - College Writing Lab Units: 1 Writing lab for students to use feedback from faculty and peers in order to identify and address writing challenges.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: Concurrent enrollment in one of the following courses: ENGL 100, ENGL 101, ENGL 102, ENGL 103, ENGL 104, ENGL 200 or ENGL 201. Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 3 units. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: CR/NC grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- use feedback from faculty and peers to revise and edit multidraft essays;
- identify common individual patterns of challenge in the development and organization of ideas;
- identify common individual patterns of error in sentence-level grammar and mechanics;
- develop strategies in order to revise and edit written assignments with growing autonomy.
