ENGL 303W - Advanced Expository Writing Units: 4; UWR An advanced course in the theory and practice of expository writing. Must earn C- (CR) or better for UWR credit.
Prerequisites: English major. Satisfaction of second composition and junior or senior standing. Must be an English Major or Liberal Studies Major. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Demonstrate facility with conducting research in traditional/nontraditional ways, including library research, the Internet, and data collection and analysis;
- Develop the ability to think critically by asking pertinent questions about what has been read, by recognizing assumptions and implications, and by evaluating ideas;
- Demonstrate the ability to express understandings and interpretations in clear and cogent prose;
- Develop an interest in and a sense of inquiry about written works.
