MATH 310 - Linear Algebra Theory Units: 3 Abstract vector spaces, linear transformations, matrices, inner product spaces, eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Emphasis on both theory and application.
Prerequisites: MATH 210 or MATH 215 with a grade C- or better, and MATH 300 with grade C- or better. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Apply the definitions, techniques and theorems of linear algebra.
- Creatively conjecture and rigorously write, analyze and critique proofs in linear algebra
- Communicate solutions to problems in linear algebra effectively
