TED 539 - Mathematics I: Instructional Methods in a Single Subject Classroom


Units: 3
Introductory course in the practice of instructional methodology in a single subject classroom with a focus on the theory and practice of mathematical methods instruction to diverse learners.  

Prerequisites: Admission to Single Subject Credential Program.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Develop varied lessons and units in the content area appropriate to the developmental level of students in their classrooms.
  2. Develop lessons and units aligned with state standards and frameworks.
  3. Develop classroom management techniques appropriate to their content area and grade of their students.
  4. Identify, assess, and use different pedagogical techniques.
