KIN 603 - Psychomotor Aspects of Learning and Performance Units: 4 Evaluating the impact of human cognition, attitudes, beliefs, and perceptions on motor-skill learning and performance. Emphasis on the importance of evidence-based and contextualized approaches to individual learners, performers, and groups.
Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify cognitive, behavioral, and psychological bases of human movement relevant to motor skill acquisition and performance.
- Compare and contrast contemporary theories as they relate to motor skill acquisition and performance.
- Analyze environmental and situational factors that can influence individuals’ physical activity choices, motor skill acquisition, and performance.
- Develop and implement highly contextualized and evidence-based observation, instruction, evaluation, and feedback methods relevant to motor skill acquisition and performance.
