Read scholarship in the field of Composition Studies with an awareness of intersections between research, theory, and practice.
Identify historical, social, political, and economic underpinnings of various approaches to teaching composition.
Recognize essential aspects of writing instruction, including rhetorical awareness, linguistic knowledge, and critical thinking.
Use theoretical knowledge to evaluate and develop instructional materials for diverse learners.
Understand the role of Composition Studies in promoting equity and social justice.
