ART 493C - Photography Senior Project Units: 3 Students produce a body of cohesive photographic work reflecting mastery of creative, design, and printing skills and processes that meet professional standards. Students prepare to transition to postgraduate life.
Prerequisites: B.F.A. major, Senior standing. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Produce a photographic body of work at a professional level.
- Demonstrate mastery of the key concepts and techniques of photography practice.
- Envision a sophisticated piece or body of work, write and present a proposal, plan and execute a steady practice to realize the work and present it to an audience.
- Anticipate and plan a course of professional development that could include interviews, exhibitions, grant applications, competition entries and grad school application.
