ART 363 - Narrative Illustration Units: 3 Surveys techniques in sequential imagery. Digital tools explore characters and narrative styles and practices such as children’s books, comic books and graphic novels. Focus on digital and vector painting processes.
Prerequisites: ART 100. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Understand the process of narrative as it applies to illustration;
- Produce work that functions in a narrative context;
- Demonstrate the manipulation of time through sequential images;
- Gain skills in the use of digital painting techniques;
- Research and evaluate historical and contemporary practices.
