PSYC 421 - Cognitive Neuroscience Units: 4 Overview of research examining the neural mechanisms underlying cognitive processes such as perception, attention, memory, and language.
Prerequisites: PSYC 320. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Demonstrate a clear understanding of the methods of cognitive neuroscience, including being able to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each technique for answering different kinds of questions.
- Cite examples of how cognitive neuroscience research has contributed to understanding of cognitive functions such as attention, language, memory, and executive function.
