MUS 303 - Entrepreneurship in the Arts Units: 3 Students learn about arts careers and organizations by investigating artists, entrepreneurs, and administrators. Students will build skills in networking and personal branding and examine case studies of a variety of artistic ventures.
Possible Instructional Methods: Online Asynchronous or Online Synchronous. Grading: A-F or CR/NC. (student choice) Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Discover career options in various arts disciplines
- Develop the tools needed to reach career goals, such as résumés, cover letters, CVs, websites, and online media.
- Learn about various logistical and business aspects of arts industries.
- Emerge with an idea of what type of career paths are available.
