MUS 303 - Entrepreneurship in the Arts


Units: 3
Students learn about arts careers and organizations by investigating artists, entrepreneurs, and administrators. Students will build skills in networking and personal branding and examine case studies of a variety of artistic ventures.

Possible Instructional Methods: Online Asynchronous or Online Synchronous.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC. (student choice)
Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Discover career options in various arts disciplines
  2. Develop the tools needed to reach career goals, such as résumés, cover letters, CVs, websites, and online media.
  3. Learn about various logistical and business aspects of arts industries.
  4. Emerge with an idea of what type of career paths are available.
