CIVE 430 - Environmental Engineering Units: 3 Fundamental understanding of environmental issues and sustainability. Topics include land use, energy efficiency, water use, indoor environmental quality, life cycle analysis, and construction waste disposal. High performance construction and green building assessment systems.
Prerequisites: CIVE 206 Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Understand and communicate the key concepts of environmental engineering and sustainability.
- Apply relevant engineering principles to perform environmental engineering design and analysis calculations.
- Evaluate the interaction between construction and sustainability, including its environmental, economic, social and ethical aspects.
