PHIL 243 - Spirituality & Health

Explores the intersections between religion, spirituality, and health. Topics include cultural values and beliefs toward illness and well-being, the distinction between religion and spirituality, medicine and healing in aboriginal, Chinese, and selected religious traditions, holistic (or mind/body) medicine, and contemporary complementary medical practices.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

read complex texts, create original arguments, analyze the arguments of others, and express these criticisms orally and in writing.
