CHEM 311 - Computers in Chemistry Units: 3 Analysis of chemical problems utilizing spreadsheets, mathematical software packages, computer programming, and computational chemistry methods.
Prerequisites: CHEM 112 Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Use spreadsheets (e.g. Excel) to
- Import and export data
- Perform data analysis
- Present results using built-in graphing and charting capabilities
- Use Python to develop scripts that can be used to analyze data and report results.
- Utilize modern computational methods to model molecular behavior and predict properties.
- Visualize molecular properties using modern software.
