MATH 385 - Linear and Nonlinear Systems of Differential Equations


Units: 3
Dynamical systems analysis. One dimensional flows. Fixed points and stability. Bifurcations and normal forms. Systems of linear differential equations: eigenvalues, eigenvectors and phase plane analysis. Introduction to nonlinear systems. Applications to problems in biology, chemistry, physics and other fields.

Co-requisites: MATH 285
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
