REC 481A - Recreation Therapy Internship A Units: 6 600-hour recreation therapy internship. To be taken after completing major classes and 1,000 hours of experience in the field. Develop a capstone project that demonstrates knowledge learned throughout the program. Must meet university GPA requirements prior to enrollment.
Prerequisites: REC 476. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F OR CR/NC (student choice) Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Apply the therapeutic recreation process, use diverse, structured ways of thinking to solve problems related to different facets of professional practice, engage in advocacy, and stimulate innovation during the internship.
- Evaluate internship progress during 80, 160, 240, 320, 400, 480, 560, + 600 of completed internships hours.
- Develop an internship project.
- Evaluate Internship Midterm and Final Report.
- Examine Study Guide Assignments
