Role of history, theory, and social foundations in curriculum and instruction design. Exploration of curriculum from multiple perspectives and contexts.

Prerequisites: Department consent.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Identify and describe how the role of history, race, culture, and other social factors influence the development of curriculum and instructional design.
  2. Understand basic tenets of curriculum and instruction development.
  3. Interpret national, state and local documents and their influence on curriculum and instruction.
  4. Critically analyze curriculum and instruction to insure accessibility for all learners.
