TED 641 - History, Theory and Social Foundations of Curriculum & Instruction Units: 4 Role of history, theory, and social foundations in curriculum and instruction design. Exploration of curriculum from multiple perspectives and contexts.
Prerequisites: Department consent. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify and describe how the role of history, race, culture, and other social factors influence the development of curriculum and instructional design.
- Understand basic tenets of curriculum and instruction development.
- Interpret national, state and local documents and their influence on curriculum and instruction.
- Critically analyze curriculum and instruction to insure accessibility for all learners.
