HOS 320 - Event Leadership Units: 3 Capstone course focusing on leadership skills and abilities related to event management. Individual semester-long, industry-relevant event planning project requiring application of learning from all previous event courses with an emphasis on budgeting, technology, risk management, and sustainability through weekly deliverables.
Prerequisites: HOS 315 Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice). Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Identify leadership styles and skills as they relate to event management.
- Detail an event plan including each respective area in the planning process.
- Utilize industry-relevant technology to assist in designing the event.
- Plan, design, and present a professional event with a focus on sustainability.
