GEOL 693 - Project Units: 1-2 Development of an original product (e.g., manuscript, education module, field map, computer model) that is summarized in a written abstract. Both project and abstract are submitted to the department, which specifies their format. Oral defense may be required.
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 2 units. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: CR/NC grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Perform original research by integration and analysis of geologic and environmental information and data sets.
- Assess, critically read and critique research literature and datasets using discipline-specific methods, techniques, and equipment.
- Effectively communicate current scientific literature and original research.
