ITM 332 - Business Data Communications


Units: 3
Terminology, techniques, and concepts of business data communications. Emphasis on both the technical aspects and related managerial issues. Topics include network technology, standards, protocols, security and design, network management and network applications.

Prerequisites: ITM 300.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. describe the components of telecommunication systems.
  2. compare and contrast various network implementations.
  3. summarize the history and current status of the field of telecommunications.
  4. design, configure, price and implement local area networks.
