COMM 206 - New Media in the Digital Age Units: 4 Interrogate how the social, political, and cultural landscape has changed in relationship to digital media technologies. Develop critical resources to better understand the history and future of these new media technologies and emerging communicative forms.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - develop analytical tools for understanding the complex information society around us;
- examine how the cultural, political, and economic environment are changing with the emergence of new media and digital technologies;
- encounter and address pressing contemporary controversies in the legal, political, and cultural realms;
- develop a voice on these issues, in relevant new media formats.
