REC 697 - Special Issues in Hospitality, Recreation and Tourism


Units: 1-3
Advanced, directed group study of special issues related to management of hospitality, recreation or tourism industries.

Prerequisites: Department consent.
Repeatability: May be repeated for credit for a maximum of 3 units.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Explore in depth various aspects of the selected management issue in hospitality, recreation or tourism.
  2. Investigate current and future best management practices related to the selected issue.
  3. Analyze current industry data, research publications and other credible sources to increase understanding of the selected issue.
