OTL 693 - Capstone Project Units: 3 Develop an online course that demonstrates best practices appropriate to candidate’s subject-area expertise, learner needs and workplace opportunities and constraints. Write about the course design in terms of accessibility and formative assessment.
Prerequisites: Completion of UWSR and M.S. Education, Online Teaching and Learning majors only. Possible Instructional Methods: Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Create a high quality, interactive online course in their discipline that demonstrates knowledge of learning theory and instructional design; applies understanding of recent technologies; incorporates recommendations of recent research in online teaching and learning; and applies knowledge of learning differences and disabilities.
- Describe a rationale for the design features of the online course created, citing specific supporting research and best practices based on a comprehensive review of the literature related to online teaching and learning in their disciplines.
