REC 364 - Recreation Therapy Program Planning & Implementation Units: 3 Various recreation therapy service delivery models, including selection of programs, activities, and interventions to achieve the assessed needs, activity modifications, and purpose and techniques of activity/task analysis.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: HOS 100 and REC 100. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Spring ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Analyze models of TR/RT service delivery (e.g., Leisure Ability Model, Health Protection/Health Promotion Model, TR Service Delivery Model, Health and Well-Being Model).
- Identify selection of programs, activities and interventions to achieve the assessed needs of the person(s) served.
- Identify purpose and techniques of activity/task analysis.
- Analyze activity modifications (e.g., assistive techniques, technology, and adaptive devices).
- Examine treatment and diagnostic protocols .
- Analyze client Assessment and documentation.
- Examine program and client evaluation + professionalism and accountability
