POSC 344 - Environmental Law Units: 3 Legislative, judicial, and administrative controls over public and private actions impacting on the environment. Examination of statutory, administrative, and judicial decisions relating to the environment and of government actors and agencies making these decisions.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Understand how law is a product of political, social and economic forces and how each of these in turn is molded by the law.
- Understand the power of courts and their role in the political process.
- Have a theoretical understanding of criteria for the evaluation of success and failure in the law
