CS 461 - Artificial Intelligence Units: 3 Intelligence as computation, rational agent architecture, state spaces, breadth-first and depth-first search, heuristic search, A* algorithm, game playing, hill-climbing and optimization, neural networks, knowledge representation, production systems, machine learning techniques, introduction to Lisp and Scheme. Programming projects.
Prerequisites: CS 301 with grade C- or better. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Author creative and robust programs in Lisp or Scheme;
- Utilize various state space and heuristic search algorithms to solve complex problems;
- Represent domain knowledge in propositional and first-order logic;
3. Develop production systems to reason about problems with incomplete or uncertain information;
- Apply machine learning algorithms to real-world problems.
