CS 455 - Computer Graphics


Units: 3
Survey of computer graphics hardware, algorithms, techniques, and standards. Software development using current graphic frameworks.

Prerequisites: CS 301 with grade C- or better.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Apply knowledge of mathematics and computational theory to understand graphical systems and algorithms including topics such as 3-D to
  2. to 2-D projection and graphical transformation; 2. Analyze computer graphics systems and requirements, and identify and define the resources and requirements needed for its solution using current computer graphic frameworks; 3. Design, implement, and evaluate a computer graphics application to meet desired needs;
  3. Utilize current computer graphics frameworks and development tools;
  4. Recognize the need for continuing professional development through use of graphic frameworks.
