MATH 215 - Introduction to Linear Algebra


Units: 3
An introduction to linear algebra including systems of linear equations, vector spaces, matrices, linear transformations, and eigenvalues and eigenvectors. Focus will be on 2 and 3 dimensions, including geometric and other applications. Formerly MATH 210.

Prerequisites: MATH 130.
Co-requisites: MATH 131.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F or CR/NC (student choice).
Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Apply the definitions, techniques and theorems of basic linear algebra.
  2. Apply basic linear algebra to solve real world problems. 
  3. Communicate solutions to problems in basic linear algebra effectively.
