Fundamental knowledge of skill acquisition and pedagogical methods teaching team, field, individual and dual sports. Application of the California State Framework for Physical Education. Active participation in physical activities is required. Lecture Units: 1; Activity Units: 1.

Grading: A-F grading only.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Understand the rules, regulations, etiquette, history and evolution of various sports and physical activities.
Develop lesson plans and appropriately evaluative techniques to measure in all three domains.
Demonstrate appropriate teaching progressions and identify relevant safety issues of teaching sport skills and tactics.
