KIN 604 - Effective Movement Instruction


Units: 4
Applies principles of effective movement instruction, evaluation, and feedback methods. Emphasis on the importance of personal, environmental, situational factors and their interaction in structuring learning and performance environments.

Prerequisites: Post-baccalaureate standing.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate competency in research, analysis, explication, presentation, and discussion of this knowledge as an integral part of societal, instructional, community and personal change.
  2. Develop an understanding of and appreciation for what it means to be effective as it relates to diversity as professionals committed to lifelong learning, leadership, and service.
  3. Understand various effective feedback and evaluation methods used in the field of kinesiology (and education in general).
  4. Apply methods of evidence-based effective movement instructions.
  5. Evaluate original and review articles and apply information in a relevant sport or physical activity setting.
