KIN 601 - Knowledge Construction in Kinesiology Units: 4 Developing information literacy skills: Finding, critically evaluating, and interpreting scholarly methods, research, and theory. Analyzing and synthesizing information from multiple sources, proposing conclusions and further lines of inquiry.
Prerequisites: M.S. Kinesiology major. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Understand and apply fundamental concepts of evidence-based methods for knowledge construction. Identify and contrast major research methodologies.
- Demonstrate skill in library scholarship. Develop skills in scholarly communication.
- Understand basic statistical concepts. Competently interpret, evaluate and discuss scientific research and scholarly reports.
