ART 493B - Interaction and Game Design Senior Project Units: 3 Students produce an interaction design project, complex website, or game reflecting mastery of creative, design, coding and development skills and processes that meet professional standards. Students develop a professional portfolio and career documents, and prepare to transition to postgraduate life.
Prerequisites: B.F.A. major, senior standing, ART 351 and ART 352. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid or Online-Asynchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Produce an interaction design project, complex website, or game at a professional level;
- Demonstrate mastery of the key concepts and techniques of interaction design practice;
- Envision a sophisticated piece or body of work, write and present a proposal, plan and execute a steady practice to realize the work and present it to an audience;
- Develop materials (cover letter, CV, portfolio, et) necessary for successful advancement in the field;
- Anticipate and plan a course of professional development, including interviews, grant applications, competition entries, and graduate school applications.
