SOC 435 - Social Psychology Units: 4 Examines the relationship between the individual and society. Emphasis on scientific study of the social behavior and experiences stemming from individuals’ participation in social groups, interaction with others, and the effects of the cultural environment and social structures on individuals.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground, or Hybrid, or Online Asynchronous or Online Synchronous. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Students will engage in in-class discussions and group activities that enhance communication skills.
- Students will explore in comparative understandings of social psychological development and cultural constructions of meaning frames among diverse cultural, religious, gender and regional groups.
- Students will be exposed and expected to understand various theoretical perspectives on social psychology.
