CRJ 410 - Advanced Policing Innovations Units: 3 Examination and analysis of major policing innovations and their implementation in the last few decades from team-policing to community policing to intelligence-led policing. Includes strengths and weaknesses and the driving forces, facilitators, and obstacles of translating innovations into police practices.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: - Identify major changes and trends in policing and implications for practice;
- Explain strategic innovations in policing with a comparison of operational and philosophical underpinnings of major policing innovations;
- Develop, apply, and evaluate empirical and theoretical knowledge in relation to major theories, research, and policies on police and policing innovations especially implementation aspects.
