CRJ 350 - Criminal Identification

Personal identification in criminal and civil investigation. Photography in criminal identifications, classification and filing of fingerprints. Handwriting identification of the unknown dead and skeletal remains.

Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:

Conduct in-depth research on the specific analytical and interpretive steps of a specific type of personal identification evidence;
Assess the results of a laboratory examination of a specific type of personal identification evidence, including a description of both the capabilities and limitations of the examination result;
Present the reasonable inferences (conclusions) that may be drawn about a range of physical evidence items, including the ability to compare alternate explanations for the evidence.
