NURS 315 - Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing Practice

This clinical practicum provides students with experience assessing the mental health of clients, developing patient centered nursing plans of care, implementing interventions, and evaluating client outcomes. Emphasis is on the development of therapeutic relationships.

Prerequisites: B.S. Nursing major.
Co-requisites: NURS 314.
Credit Restrictions: Repeated course may not count toward Major requirements.
Equivalent Quarter Course: NURS 3407.
Repeatability: May be repeated once for credit for a maximum of 4 units.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: CR/NC grading only.
