SOC 360 - Sociology of Sexualities

An analysis of the social construction of sexuality. Topics may include the intersection of race, class, gender and sexuality; power and the construction of norms that influence sexual identities; and, the role of agency in generating alternative identities and practices.

Strongly Recommended Preparation: Upper division status (60 earned semester units or more) and completion of lower division Areas D1-D3 are highly recommended.
Prerequisites: Completion of GE Areas A1, A2, A3, and B4 with grade C- (CR) or better.
Equivalent Quarter Course: SOC 4200.
Possible Instructional Methods: Entirely On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
