International Studies Minor

Language Requirement

Six (6) semester units (two-course sequence) of a modern foreign language or the equivalent as determined by examination for 0-6 units is required.

Upper Division Coursework

Take 11-13 units as outlined below:

Students must take three (3) courses of upper division international course work (minimum of 9 units) in an area of emphasis.  Area of emphasis to be chosen with approval of Inernational Studies Director.

• a discipline area
• a regional area
• a topic area

Plus, students must take 2-3 units of either International Field Work or an approved program of Study Abroad.  Students must successfully complete at least one (1) three-credit class on an appropriate study abroad program.

• INTS 398 - Internship Units: 2-3
