ENGR 605 - Risk Analysis for Engineers Units: 3
Applications of probability and decision analysis to engineering problems. Emphasis is placed on probabilistic modeling and analysis of engineering problems. Quantitative techniques for risk-based analysis in engineering, and decision making under uncertainty. Implementation of artificial intelligence for risk analysis.
Strongly Recommended Preparation: College Statistics course Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall ONLY
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Students will create probabilistic models for the analysis of engineering management and environmental engineering problems, and for risk analysis.
- Students will evaluate AI methods to support probabilistic modeling, risk analysis, and decision making under uncertainty.
