Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to: 1. Integrate physiology and pathogenesis of commonly encountered diseases across the lifespan guided by health equity and special populations
2. Analyze risk factors, clinical manifestations, and diagnostic findings to select clinical actions and prioritize interventions
3. Integrate pharmacological principles and research advances in pharmacotherapy to evaluate safety and efficacy of drug therapy for patients with selected illnesses
4. Demonstrate communication that is rich in listening, recognizes and addresses implicit bias, and is reflective of social, cultural, economic, and environmental conditions that shape health outcomes.
5. Perform a systematic and comprehensive health assessment of an individual, community, or population that is informed by health equity and cultural safety.
6. Critically appraise current literature according to evidence-based practice principles and apply decision making skills to formulate and evaluate a plan of care
