NURS 361 - Health Promotion

This course introduces population health. The focus is on applying health promotion theories and evidence-based practice to address health inequities.  

Prerequisites: Nursing major: admission to the post-licensure concentration
Co-requisites: NURS 362.
Possible Instructional Methods: Online-Asynchronous.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Incorporate knowledge from nursing and other disciplines to support clinical judgment
  2. Use population health data to address population health needs
  3. Integrate health promotion theories and evidence into nursing practice
