MUS 697 - Issues in Music


Units: 3
Graduate seminar focused on readings, discussion, and research on significant issues in music.

Prerequisites: Department consent.
Repeatability: May repeat once for credit for a maximum of 6 units when topic varies.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Address significant and relevant issues in music through critical and creative thinking and analytical reasoning.
  2. Clearly and persuasively communicate one’s findings to others.
  3. Work collaboratively and respectfully with classmates and instructors in, and outside of, the classroom.
