EESC 310 - Literature and Research Methods

Units: 3
Seminar in geographical and environmental literature, source materials, and research methods. Examination of seminal ideas associated with each discipline. Intensive exercises in both written and oral communication. Formerly GEOG 310.

Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Identify and describe the major academic periodicals in the earth, environmental and sustainability sciences;
  2. Develop comprehensive search strategies for locating research materials;
  3. Identify and explain seminal ideas and concepts in the earth, environmental and sustainability sciences and
  4. Demonstrate effective presentation and writing skills.
