EESC 380 - Applied Field Studies

Application of field techniques and methods in the earth, environmental and sustainability sciences, including field observation, sampling, data collection, and computer-based analysis. Presentation of results in graphic and written forms.  Formerly : ENVT 380. 

Prerequisites: Upper division standing and permission of department.
Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground.
Grading: A-F grading only.
Course Typically Offered: Variable Intermittently


Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
 

  1. Create a simple research plan;
  2. Determine techniques and methods appropriate to execute the plan;
  3. Utilize an array of techniques and methods used in earth, environmental and sustainability sciences field studies; 
  4. Communicate the results in an appropriate format, in the context of current social and/or scientific issues in California.
