PSYC 491C - Research in Cognitive Psychology Units: 4 An advanced research course in which students design and execute an empirical research study related to cognitive psychology. Includes data collection, quantitative data analysis, and presentation in an APA style research report.
Prerequisites: PSYC 300W and PSYC 330. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Design a methodologically sound study to address a research question.
- Critically evaluate journal articles.
- Apply principles of research ethics to a study.
- Obtain, manage and analyze data using appropriate statistical techniques and interpret the results.
- Present research findings in American Psychological Association format.
