MATH 225 - Numerical Algorithms and Linear Algebra for Computer Science Units: 3 Computer arithmetic. Introduction to linear algebra and solving systems of equations. Rootfinding, interpolation, eigenvalues/eigenvectors. Programming techniques.
Prerequisites: CS 101 with a grade of C- or better, and MATH 130 with a grade of C- or better. Possible Instructional Methods: On-ground. Grading: A-F grading only. Course Typically Offered: Fall & Spring
Student Learning Outcomes - Upon successful completion of this course students will be able to:
- Will understand the effects of finite precision arithmetic.
